Realizations.....
I am an official college graduate as of June 21st, with a Bachlors of Science in the school of Computer Engineering. Well that is what my diploma says.
I have been half searching for a job these last few weeks with limited success. My resume is in order however my cover letter is not.
Today for the first time I accepted the reality that I will have to get a PHD at some point in some area of engineering or some such thing. Its just something I will have to do. Ugh.

Because at some point I need to become a Master of something. Instead of the Jack of all trades that I currently am.
well, you get a fair amount of that going for a master's... i'm very glad i did mine... i know a lot better what i like doing and what i'm good at... i sort of found my niche...
maybe try that... it is not nearly as involved or as lengthy as a phd... but it does do a great deal of focusing your direction... you may like grad school... engineering grad school isn't too bad, most schools pay your tuition and stipend fo ryou... so it can be pretty care free... the class work is horrendous though...
my two cents... hope ti makes sense/helps in some way.
