My misinterpretation of real life

how do you figure that second assertion?

i was thinking... You could use money to buy a monkey, and then you could feed the monkey and dress him up in miniature people clothes, then maybe he will love you. So money might not be able to buy love, but if you invest that money into a monkey, maybe, just maybe, you've got something.
